Traditional Sindhi rhythms manifest as an ensemble of chopping knives in syncopation with the whirs of a busy restaurant kitchen. For the end of the play, the emblematic Sindh Muhinji Amma is performed on a solo piano - signifying both the isolation and triumph of South Asian identity in a Western city.
